What are the requirements for a Medical Doctor with a Japanese medical license to practice in America?

My friend is a doctor in Japan. He has gone through medical school and everything. Is there some sort of test that he needs to take to practice medicine in America, or does he just need to be able to speak English?

No, No. He has to pass the Medical Boards here in America and be Licensed here. He’ll have to go back to school here for a while also first.
