Is 10 minutes worth of exercise of any use towards heart health/weight loss?
I am what they call "Super Morbid Obese" and i am trying to lose weight and my endurance is for crap. i know 30 minutes a day, 3 -5 times a week is recommended amount of exercise but i am lucky if i can do 10 minutes at a time. so my question is this…is any amount of exercise useful? even if it is only for 2-5-10 minutes? or is it pointless if i can’t do for longer?
One thing you could try is when you’re working out, staggering your cardio. Like do 5 or 10 minutes, take a break, do some other exercises like strength training, then go back and do another 5 or 10 minutes of cardio. You will gradually be able to increase your time and start seeing some good results. =] This is what I do and it seems to work for me.
A little bit always counts! You ARE burning some calories. Good job on trying to lose weight!
After you keep exercising for a bit, you will be able to do it for longer each time after that.
Whatever you do, do not give up!

well i suppose any exercise is good..but it is true that 30 minutes or more is the most affective way to lose weight.
10 mins. will probably put a small dent in your weight loss..aim for 20 minutes! =]
