<p>The primary cause of a skin irritant developing around the anus is an overabundance of moisture in that region. Blame for this can be assigned to maladies such as diarrhea or incontinence. The dampness that these maladies can leave in the anus leaves the skin that is so exposed ripe for an irritant to manifest.</p>
<p>Another cause of irritation can be what sort of foods you eat. The chemicals in certain foods can cause irritation after being digested and being passed as stool through the anus. These food chemicals can also irritate the exposed skin around the anus that they have contact with.</p>
<p>In either case, skin prevention can be prevented in a straightforward manner. Firstly, thoroughly wipe the area around your anus. The drier and cleaner this area is (and conversely, the less moisture that is allowed to settle there), the more reduced is the risk of skin irritation developing there.</p>
<p>Secondly, be careful with respect to the types of food that you consume. Foods that are spicy are extremely likely to cause skin irritation, though this is by no means the only type of food that will cause such irritation. Consult a dietary expert with respect to which foods will have less chance of causing such irritation to you.</p>
<p>If prevention of such irritants is no longer an option, then manuka oil has to be used to alleviate your condition. The anti-bacterial properties that the oil contains will easily treat the condition. All that is required of you is that you wash frequently and apply oil to the relevant area twice a day, and this should be sufficient to clear the problem.</p>
<p>In conclusion, then, prevention strategies such as properly wiping your anus and watching what sort of foods you eat should be used. Once prevention is not enough, however, using manuka oil for anal itching treatment can be very effective. If your condition persists, however, you are advised to get in touch with your doctor.</p>
