If anything you want to say or answer to that is not mentioned feel free to suggest any sort of advice or help you can give. I really want to lose weight to get fit, stay healthy, and find my true self inside this oversized body. I want ot feel and look good.
Thank you for your time. ![]()
[1] When is the best time to exercise after a meal? When will I burn the most calories?
* I don’t think it makes any difference "when" you exercise as long as you exercise! Perhaps you might feel bit uncomfortable if you exercise after eating a full meal… mainly from shaking the content of your stomach. I exercise after my dinner but my dinner is more like a snack.
[2] Which types of foods will help me lose weight?
* I don’t think there’s one kind of food that makes you lose weight. Concentrate on eating balanced meals rather than thinking there is a magical food that makes you burn fat. Gotta eat for the rest of your life, so better get a healthy attitude towards food and eating!
[3] What type of exercises should I be doing? How long? Which days? Scedule?
* Ideally, something that you can "enjoy" therefore you can keep on doing it for the rest of your life. "diet" or losing fat/weight is a life style, not a whim for a period of time. Incorporate cardio(swimming, running, walking, aerobics etc) with weight/muscle building training. More muscle, more fat burnt!
[4] What foods do I need to stay away from?
* deep fried foods and confectioneries(chocolates, donuts, snack bars etc) Use logic. Coco pops aren’t healthy just because the company says it is! Believe in your knowledge not what you want to believe.
[5] Which foods do I need to be careful of?
* carbs. You need to still eat carbs, but they hide in all sorts of foods, not only pasta and rice. Some vegetables and fruits are carbs, so be careful and I try and consume them for lunch but not dinner so I can burn them off.
[6] What exercises will tone my body?
* I started Thai Kick Boxing and for the first time in my life started to see tones in my body!
[7] What can I do to really get fit?
* exercise daily. Not just a stroll around a block but something to get you sweating. Your bra should be soaked by the time you finish your daily exercise. More you do, more you get fit.
[8] What is a good goal for me to set to lose all this weight? How long? Healthy?
* Think 1kg a week if you are obese. If you are in a healthy weight range, 1kg a month. You must remember, it’s a life style change and something you should be doing for the rest of your life to a certain degree. (losing weight is harder than maintaining weight, so once you achieve your target, you can ease off a bit, but still need to exercise regularly and eat well)
[9] What can I do to encourage myself not to give up?
* Write down why you want or need to lose weight. Have pictures up on the wall…. of your ideal body image.
[10] What will help me fight those craving foods and late night snacks?
* Don’t stay up late if you aren’t "doing" anything. You get bored and that’s when you think about food. If you’ve nothing to do at night, go to bed early!
[11] How can I prevent myself from overeatiing?
* Don’t let yourself "feel" hungry. I always have morning teas and afternoon teas. If you are hungry you tend to over eat. Eat before you feel hungry. Also always set a portion that you are going to eat and don’t go for seconds. Take away foods are always over portioned. You should feel satisfied but not full.
[12] What will keep my mind in the right field to lose this weight?
* Only you can answer this question. Everybody has different reason for wanting to lose weight. For me, I’ve always been chubby or over weight and I want to be fit and flab free for ONCE in my life… preferably before I turn 30 this year!
**********************************
I love food and I love sugary chocolaty stuff. So when I get tempted to eat them I say to myself
"I know what it tastes like. I’ve eaten them before. It’s nothing new, and I can eat them AFTER I reach my goal"
It works well. But other times I do allow myself a "fun size" snacks (100 calories or so) to prevent myself from binging on the weekend.
Know how you react to different rules and restrictions. Coming up with a routine that works for YOU for a long time is the best way to lose weight.

I need some advise on the best way to promote a health and wellness business?
Advertizing tips, and how to generate peoples interest. I am having home parties with dark fondue chocolate that’s good for you, but I can’t seem to get anyone to come. How can I spread the word and get a bigger turnout? Or is there a better way to do this? My main product helps with everything from the moment it touchs your lips, it goes into your body at the cellular level to repairs the cells. It gives the body what it is missing and can even help medical conditions, weight loss, you name it. I find it invaluable how can I make others see and give it a chance?
I would suggest watching this clip. You can get ideas.

My boyfriend doesn’t eat enough?
okay, he doesn’t have an eating disorder(I don’t think) but he has a very small appetite and is very picky. He had some deppression issues in high school and because of it he didn’t eat much and was nearly hospitalized. This was all before I met him and he’s doing a bit better now but he’s still in need of improvement. He currently takes an anti-depressant that’s supposed to stimulate appetite. And he has asthma if that makes any difference. Neither he nor his mom are very kitchen savy so all he really eats is pb&j and ramen. He does really enjoy my cooking but I certainly can’t cook all his meals for him. Any tips on how I can get him to eat more or stimulate his appetite. Any quick and really easy recipes that I could teach him or foods to add to his mom’s grocery list? I made him take a health and wellness class with me at school so that should help. I’m not focused on weight gain just on making sure he’s healthy. So any advice is much appreciated. thanks.
Sit down and make a list with him of all the foods that he does like. There are recipe websites where you type in a food or an ingredient and it will tell you what dishes to make with that item.
