Natural Cure for Diabetes

Like many things you always hear about a natural cure for diseases, but you never hear of what they are or even the treatments. I’ve heard there is a natural cure for Herpes, diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis, and hypertension, but no one ever seems to know what they are, or where they can be found. I have even read that book ‘Natural Cures “They” Don’t Want You to Know About’ by Kevin Trudeau and he just beats around the bush. Is there anyone out there with solid evidence and answers for a Natural Cure for Diabetes? If there is a natural cure for Diabetes and Multiple sclerosis wouldn’t it be all over the news? If there is natural cure for Diabetes and Multiple sclerosis wouldn’t supplement or vitamin or some company be marketing it?

I am sure that if there was solid evidence backed by real proof of a Natural Cure for Diabetes or natural cures for other diseases that _many_ healthcare professionals would be talking about them, they would be in respected journals, even the so-called ‘evil’ pharmaceutical companies would be manufacturing ‘enhanced’, ‘safer’, ‘more effective’ natural cures. Just look at all the various companies that make different kinds of Vitamin C, Rosehips, Iron pills, and the like for your local grocery store.

IMHO, I think you’re best bet is to work with a professional doctor.

Be cautious when referencing Kevin Trudeau’s “Natural Cures They Don’t Want You To Know About.” Do a little reading on this guy, then decide for yourself. Personally, I think he’s a huckster out to make a buck using ridiculous claims backed by pseudo-science and possibly outright untruths .. but that’s just my opinion .. and some other people like doctors, respected journalists, etc.

What are the risks of glucosamine causing diabetes, especially with the long term use 4 arthritis?

I have just been warned off this product by my Dr due to the concerns of causing diabetes. He has suggested shark cartlidge and high dosage of fish oil instead…… Well, … I’m confused. Does anyone know more about a possible link between taking glucosamine etc for arthuritis and an increase in the aging population of diabetics ? Is there a connection ?

I could not find any relationship between the two.

Diabetes Life Insurance

It is said that an estimated 7-percent or 21 million people have diabetes and another 4 million having pre-diabetes. If you know you have diabetes that is somehow managed, and you want a diabetes life insurance to help you then you should consider these tips on how to secure yourself a diabetes life insurance.

Tips on applying for a diabetes life insurance

· Be certain that before you apply for a diabetes life insurance, you have substantial proof that your diabetes is managed. It is important that you show you can control your diabetes so you can find a wide array of life insurance policies available to you.

· Seek quotes from different insurers. Before deciding to go for a certain diabetes life insurance company, make sure you have explored other deals from other companies. It is better to gather as much options and choose which among the options is best for your condition.

· Because insurers primarily consider your blood sugar and hemoglobin count, it is best to show them a history of effective treatment like yearly eye exams, weight and blood pressure in normal ranges.

Diabetes life insurance companies know which class you fall in by analyzing your medical conditions and deciding which rating class you belong. Keep in mind that if you belong to a higher rating, the lower your premium will be. Typical rating classes are as follows:

· Super Preferred

· Preferred

· Standard

· Substandard

People with Type 1 diabetes will have a rough time finding good diabetes life insurance. If you have a Type 1 diabetes life insurance your best bet is finding a simplified issued policy so you can get a better life insurance deal.

If you have Type 2 diabetes, you will most likely belong to the standard rating class which means you have better luck with a diabetes life insurance than people having Type 1 because yours can easily be treated with diet, exercise, and oral medications.

Securing a diabetes life insurance is hard. That is why when you finally managed to secure one, make sure you get the most outof it by taking care of yourself properly.

At Special Risk Managers, their sole focus is obtaining life insurance for people with a serious medical condition; people who are often considered uninsurable. They offer this specialised service through an exclusive arrangement with an international reinsurance company.

Their life insurance clients include people with life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, stroke or heart attack and people with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis, epilepsy or Crohn’s Disease.

Cause and Symptoms of Diabetes Mellitus

Diabetes is a metabolic disorder, which in this century is commonly heard among many people. Researches have done on diabetic patients show a strong inheritance of this disease over many generations.

Diabetes is no longer a dreaded disease; a well-managed diabetic has a good life expectancy. Neglect, on other hand produces irreparable damage to arteries over the years. It is said that there is no disease, which provokes greater thought on diet than diabetes.

What is Diabetes mellitus?

Diabetes is a disorder that affects the way your body uses food for energy. Normally, the sugar you take in is digested and broken down to a simple sugar, known as glucose. The glucose then circulates in your blood where it waits to enter cells to be used as fuel. Insulin, a hormone produced by the pancreas, helps move the glucose into cells. A healthy pancreas adjusts the amount of insulin based on the level of glucose. But, if you have diabetes, this process breaks down, and blood sugar levels become too high.

There are two main types of full-blown diabetes. People with Type 1 diabetes are completely unable to produce insulin. People with Type 2 diabetes can produce insulin, but their cells don’t respond to it. In either case, the glucose can’t move into the cells and blood glucose levels can become high. Over time, these high glucose levels can cause serious complications.

Insulin Resistance. Insulin is necessary for the transport of blood glucose (sugar) into the cells of muscle and fat (which is then used for energy). By transporting glucose into cells, insulin keeps the blood glucose levels in the normal range. Insulin resistance (IR) is the condition whereby the effectiveness of insulin in transporting glucose (sugar) into cells is diminished. Fat cells are more insulin resistant than muscle cells; therefore, one important cause of IR is obesity. The pancreas initially responds to IR by producing more insulin. As long as the pancreas can produce enough insulin to overcome this resistance, blood glucose levels remain normal. This IR state (characterized by normal blood glucose levels and high insulin levels) can last years. Once the pancreas can no longer keep up with producing high levels of insulin, blood glucose levels begin to rise, resulting in type 2 diabetes, thus IR is a pre-diabetes condition. In fact scientists now believe that the arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) associated with diabetes likely develops during this IR period.
