I have diabetes symptoms (newly diagnosed, but apparently I have had it fo a while and didn’t know it according to my doctor) and my hair keeps falling out near the crown and in the back, causing thin spots.
Someone told me that this can be a one of the diabetes symptoms that result from having diabetes. Is this true and if so; why?

hair loss is not directly related to diabetes symptoms.

Four Early Warning Diabetes Symptoms

Diabetes Symptoms

The Four Diabetes Symptoms – What Every Diabetic Needs To Be Aware Of

Whether you have got type 1 or type two diabetes mellitus, both types will present you with similar diabetes symptoms that you should beware of. When you have either of these two types, your own blood possesses an excessive amount of glucose or perhaps sugar that it could manage. And we are all aware that too much will never best for the body. Any time glucose inside your blood will increase to a quite high level, your system will begin giving you totally different signs and symptoms associated with a diabetic patient.

When you’ve got type one, the damage is in the insulin-producing cells or perhaps the beta cells because they can no longer produce the right amount of insulin to counteract high sugar levels in your blood. This is basically the action of insulin, of course, if it is lacking in significant amounts, our bodies will then begin to show signs.

In type two, a similar story occurs, other than the destruction is in your cells since it is already developed resistance to insulin. Therefore, though your body creates the correct quantity of it, still it won’t do any good for the reason that rest of the body will still deny it anyway. This ends up with elevated blood sugar levels that lead to diabetes mellitus.

Top Four Diabetes Symptoms

Top Four Diabetes Symptoms #1. Urinating Often: Assuming you have noticed that you seem to go to the bathroom much more recently, it could possibly be one of many indications of this blood sugar disorder. If no other reason has caused this-frequent intake of water or another illnesses, then it could be one of the signs you are looking for. In this kind of medical condition, since glucose is already working in high levels within your blood circulation, when it reaches the kidneys the organs cannot filter the glucose. They end up diluting your urine by adding more water and that is when your urinary bladder seems to be full all the time.

Top Four Diabetes Symptoms #2. Tingling Sensation: This is also called in medical terms being a neuropathy, and it only occurs in most diabetic patients. Because this medical condition affects glucose in your own blood and your blood travels to different parts of your body, the rest of your organ systems are affected. In here, we’re talking about your nervous system, where all kinds of nerves are affected. The signs are mostly clear in the extremities and therefore are usually felt as tingling sensations. Although mostly evident in later stages, you can feel this in case you are diagnosed with diabetes.

Top Four Diabetes Symptoms #3. You Are Generally Thirsty: Whenever your thirst is apparently unquenchable, you may be showing indication of diabetic patients. As your body requires more water to be able to dilute your urine that is definitely full of glucose, you may be becoming thirsty more frequently than necessary.

Top Four Diabetes Symptoms #4. Blurred vision: It typically happens in later stages, however , your visual organ system is also affected when you find yourself recognized as diabetic. As explained preceding, diabetes mellitus is a really systematic disease, so that it can impact different organ parts together with your eyes.

Are you experiencing one of these diabetes symptoms? If you do, don’t wait to visit a doctor. Ensure that you do not have any of those diabetes symptoms as well as have yourself checked out before it might be too late.

The bill he vetoed did not allow stem cell research to be funded properly by the government, while the many millions of people like me could be cured from the research. His main reasons for vetoing the bill had to do with cloning, and us being a Christian country. Following this announcement, George Bush recieved a standing ovation.

I am 15 years old. I have had Diabetes for 10 years, and this comming March of 2008 will be my 11th. year. Diabetes is more than just a life threatening disease. It’s you’re life… period.

But there is hope. The JDRF (Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation) holds a Walk-to-Cure-Diabetes every year in Siesta Key Beach, Florida. They raise millions of dollars a year and span to over 200 locations around the Earth. Diabetes can be cured across America with proper funding from organizations, the government, and people like you.

Now this video isn’t meant to scare people that have diabetes. Truth is, if you’re careful and listen to your doctors, you can live a long, happy, and healthy life. It’s not always easy, but you can always do something about it to control your sugar more and be healthier than you can ever be. there’s always something you can do, and it’s a good feeling!

Barack Obama supported Stem Cell Research! Thank you, Mr. Obama! You’ve given hope to millions of people like me. Thank you!

Q and A about Diabetes:

Q: What is Diabetes?

A: Your body turns food into energy using insulin. Insulin is made by the pancreas and allows the sugar to be used by your body. Diabetes is a chronic disease where you’re pancreas slows down or stops functioning. Without insulin, the sugar stays in your bloodstream. However, with too much insulin, you won’t have reserve energy for standing, walking, and sometimes your body can’t keep warm with low blood sugar. I have to monitor my blood sugar levels several times a day and take insulin from shots to make sure my blood sugar levels don’t go too high or too low.

Q: Does Diabetes happen to fat people?

A: Not all types of Diabetes happen to obese people. Type 1 (Juvenille Diabetes) is hereditary, so you can’t prevent it. It takes over you as a child or teen. Type 2 Diabetes occurs in obese people or old people, whose pancreas’s aren’t strong enough to meet the demands for insulin.

Q: Does it go away?

A: No. It is a lifelong disease. It’s impossible to avoid completelly without the stem cell procedure.

Q: What is life like as a Diabetic?

A: Normal. Just a different kind of normal. I take shots and go to the doctors once every couple months, but I’m not stripped of my life. I have a diet and I have to watch what I eat, but I can still eat my favorite foods once in a while.

Q: The diet… you have a diet?

A: Well, I need to regulate my blood sugar levels. My diet is as followed: don’t take too much sugar when you’re blood sugar level is high, and drink sugar (it has to be a drink, food takes too long to digest) when your blood sugar level is low. I eat snacks during the day and 3 meals. You can’t skip any meals or snacks, or else you’ll feel it.

Q: You feel your blood sugar levels?

A: Yes. When my blood sugar is high, It’s harder for me to pay attention or work properly. I feel warm and hyper. Sometimes I’ll be agressive. When I’m low, I feel shakey and cold, but usually hungry. I might start sweating and feel very tired. Sometimes I feel dizzy, if it goes down far enough (thank goodness it doesn’t!)

Q: What’s considered “normal” blood-sugar wise?

A: The units for blood sugars are measured in mg. of sugar per dL of blood. 80-120 is normal, but it may go between 60-160 depending on how much you eat or exersize. I go between 100-200 for the most part, but I have had numbers as low as 35 and as high as 500.

Q: I never knew you were a diabetic! How come you didn’t say so before?

A: As much as I love to educate people about the disease, I’m not different from anyone else on Youtube: I’m still a human being. I might need more time on tests or medical attention when I’m exersizing vigerously, but it’s not like I’m a different person! I live my life differently, that’s all.

Q: What was that bracelet in the last picture?

A: That’s my Medic Alert bracelet on my bed. If I pass out from my blood sugars going too low or too high, then the paramedics will be able to see that I’m a diabetic, and they may be able to wake me up with glucagon (think of it as sugar-in-a-bottle) or an insulin shot.

Q: What can I do to help? Where can I learn more?

Natives would chew the Kava root or pound it and mix it with water to create a brownish bitter tasting liquid. The most common uses for Kava root are for sleep, anxiety, and symptoms of menopause, asthma, fatigue, insomnia, and urinary tract infections. In the West Kava root has been used by many people for various reasons. Most common uses of Kava root are to create a sense of well being and to promote clear thinking and relaxation. Kava root induces a restful night of sleep without side effects that next day.

The preparation of the Kava root is very simple. The Kava root is normally used as an herbal tea or pounded and then mixed with water. Some people simply chew the root.

Kava root is not addictive from a pharmacological standpoint. This makes it relatively safe. This does not mean that certain people will not have adverse reactions.

Since the FDA does not regulate supplements Kava has not gone through rigorous testing. There have been instances where people have experiences liver problems.

So she says it can affect all of my other hormones and my growth. But im really wondering is this true?

I personally don’t know if it’s true or not, I haven’t heard anything about that. But you shouldn’t assume the delay is due to your diabetes.

Complete Information on Diabetes Mellitus With Treatment and Prevention and Symptoms of Diabetes Onset

Diabetes mellitus is the blood sugar level is high is unusual chaotic because the body does not produce the enough insulin. Normally, blood glucose levels are tightly controlled by insulin, a hormone produced by the pancreas. Insulin lowers the blood glucose level. When the blood glucose elevates, insulin is released from the pancreas to normalize the glucose level. In patients with diabetes, the absence or insufficient production of insulin causes hyperglycemia. Diabetes is the most significant cause of adult blindness in the non-elderly, the leading cause of non-traumatic amputation in adults, and diabetic nephropathy is the main illness requiring renal dialysis in the united states. Therefore deficiency of insulin or the insensitivity of its receptors plays a central role in all forms of diabetes mellitus.

Severe or recurring pancreatitis and other diseases that directly damage the pancreas can lead to diabetes. As outlined above, in patients with diabetes, the insulin is either absent, relatively insufficient for the body’s needs, or not used properly by the body. All of these factors cause elevated levels of blood glucose. People with diabetes may experience many serious, long-term complications. Some of these complications begin within months of the onset of diabetes, although most tend to develop after a few years. Most of the complications are progressive. Elevated levels of blood glucose lead to spillage of glucose into the urine. People with diabetes often develop bacterial and fungal infections, typically of the skin. When the levels of sugar in the blood are high, white blood cells cannot effectively fight infections.

The Symptoms of Diabetes Onset can cause a lot of complications. The sharp complications can prevent if the sickness is not sufficiently checked. Diabetes mellitus is characterized by disordered metabolism and inappropriately high blood sugar resulting from either low levels of the hormone insulin or from abnormal resistance to insulin’s effects coupled with inadequate levels of insulin secretion to compensate. Diabetes is also an important factor in accelerating the hardening and narrowing of the arteries, leading to strokes, coronary heart disease, and other large blood vessel diseases. This is referred to as macrovascular disease. The characteristic Symptoms of Diabetes Onset are excessive urine production, excessive thirst and increased fluid intake, and blurred vision. These Symptoms of Diabetes Onset are likely to be absent if the blood sugar is only mildly elevated. Poor healing of wounds, particularly of the feet, can lead to gangrene, which may require amputation.

The diabetes mellitus present is one kind of old disease, has not treated, and the medical service must be essential with emphasis is avoiding the possible short-term as well as long-term with diabetes related problems. Diabetes screening is recommended for many people at various stages of life, and for those with any of several risk factors. The screening test varies according to circumstances and local policy, and may be a random blood glucose test, a fasting blood glucose test or an even more formal glucose tolerance test. Adequate treatment of diabetes, as well as increased emphasis on blood pressure control and lifestyle factors, may improve the risk profile of most aforementioned complications. Another treatment option is the use of the insulin pump with some of the most popular pump brands being: cozmo, animas, medtronic minimed, and omnipod.

Recently I read an article about dreams stating that people with Diabetes have more vivid dreams. Why is this?

Diabetes does not guarantee that dreams will be more vivid.

In the article, it mentioned that vivid dreams and nightmares can be a function of the body’s response to low blood sugar in order to raise blood sugar by causing the liver to release stored glucose and/or wake the person from sleeping.

Vivid dreams and nightmares are also a function of stress and worry, due to hormones that get released as part of the fight-or-flight mechanism (and those hormones also raise blood sugar). This is why stressed and/or worried people do not feel rested after sleeping.

Auditory hallucinations (hearing things that are not there, which can include music) are not due to blood sugar issues, but can result from altered levels of neurotransmitters (which are hormones). These episodes are not limited to schizophrenia or manic states of bipolar disorder, but can occur in people under stress or using certain medications.

"Ear Worms" (where you get a song "stuck" in your head) is different from a hallucination, and is a function of memory, if I recall correctly (it can be very irritating, but not generally a medical/psychological issue).

Although it is not known exactly which are the causes of diabetes mellitus, seems that there are involved genetic and environmental factors. It is thought that in type I diabetes, a virus or another microorganism that destroys cells in the pancreas that produce insulin triggers the immune system. In type II, age, obesity, and family history may play a role.

It is known that in type II diabetes the cells have become resistant to the insulin produced by the pancreas, so even if the pancreas produces enough insulin, it may not work as effectively.

The first signs of type II diabetes are lethargy, extreme thirst, and frequent urination, but there can be other symptoms too, like sudden weight loss, urinary tract infections, slow wound healing, and blurred vision.

It is known that there are some categories of persons who are at a high risk of developing type II diabetes mellitus. We can mention obese people, those who have a relative with diabetes mellitus, people who belong to a high-risk ethnic population like African-American, Native American, Hispanic, or Native Hawaiian, persons who have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes or have delivered a baby weighing more than 9 lbs.

Also, at a high risk are those who have a high density lipoprotein cholesterol level less than or equal to 35 mg/dL and/or a triglyceride level greater than or equal to 250 mg/dL; those who have high blood pressure and have had impaired glucose tolerance or impaired fasting glucose on previous testing

It was seen that some medications cause a condition called secondary diabetes, impairing the body’s use of insulin. For example, this can be caused by treatments for high blood pressure- such as furosemide, clonidine, and thiazide diuretics-, the anti-inflamation drug indomethacin and drugs with hormonal activity like oral contraceptives, thyroid hormone, progestins, and glucocorticorids.

Also, drugs that are used to treat mood disorders can impair glucose absorption, and there can be other medication too that cause diabetes symptoms: isoniazid, nicotinic acid, cimetidine, and heparin.

The symptoms of diabetes can develop suddenly, or gradually. Some classic symptoms are frequent urination, excessive thirst, excessive hunger, feeling tired and sick, and weight loss.

Ketoacidosis, a condition due to starvation or uncontrolled diabetes, common in type I diabetes shows symptoms like abdominal pain, vomiting, rapid breathing, extreme lethargy and drowsiness. This condition can bring death if left untreated.

In order to diagnose diabetes, the doctor analyzes the symptoms and also performs blood and urine tests. These tests can also be used once the patient is on a standardized diet, oral medications or insulin.

In what concerns urine tests, Clinistix and Diastix are paper strips or dipsticks that change color in contact with urine. The test strip is compared to a chart, and in this way it is found the amount of glucose in the urine. It is important to know that blood test is more accurate.

There are other dipstick tests that can determine the presence of protein or albumin in the urine, and also ketones in the urine.

The Four Diabetes Symptoms - What All Diabetic Should Be Aware Of

Whether you’ve got type one or type two diabetes mellitus, both types gives you similar diabetes symptoms that you must be cautious about. For those who have either of those two types, the blood has got a lot of glucose as well as sugar that it can handle. And now we are all aware that too much is never good for our bodies. While glucose in your blood boosts to a high level, one’s body will begin supplying you with different indicators associated with a diabetic patient.

If you have type one, the harm is incorporated in the insulin-producing cells or perhaps the beta cells since they can no longer produce the right amount of insulin to counteract high sugar levels in your blood.

This is the action of insulin, and if it is lacking in significant amounts, the body will then start showing Diabetes Symptoms.

In type two, a similar story is present, except that the damage is in your cells because it is already developed resistance to insulin. Therefore, even though your body produces the right amount of it, it still will not do any good because the rest of your body will still reject it anyway. This results to elevated blood sugar levels that lead to diabetes mellitus.

Top Four Diabetes Symptoms

Top Four Diabetes Symptoms #1. Frequent Urination: If you have noticed that you seem to be going to the bathroom a lot more recently, then it could be one of the signs of this blood sugar disorder. If no other reason seems to have caused this-frequent intake of water or other illnesses, then it could be one of the signs you are looking for. In this kind of medical condition, since glucose is already up and running in high levels in your blood circulation, when it reaches the kidneys the organs cannot filter the glucose. They end up diluting your urine by adding more water and that is when your urinary bladder seems to be full all the time.

Top Four Diabetes Symptoms #2. Tingling Sensation: This is also called in medical terms as a neuropathy, and it occurs in most diabetic patients. Since this medical condition affects glucose in your blood and your blood travels to different parts of your body, the rest of your organ systems are affected. In here, we are talking about your nervous system, where all kinds of nerves are affected. The signs are mostly clear in the extremities and are usually felt as tingling sensations. Although mostly evident in later stages, you can feel this if you are diagnosed with diabetes.

Top Four Diabetes Symptoms #3. You’re Often Thirsty: Whenever your thirst looks like it’s unquenchable, there’s a chance you’re demonstrating the signs of diabetic patients. As your body needs additional water in order to dilute your urine that is full of glucose, you’ll probably be feeling thirsty more often than necessary.

Top Four Diabetes Symptoms #4. Blurred vision: That frequently occur in later stages, however your visual organ system is also affected when you find yourself diagnosed as diabetic. As explained previously, diabetes mellitus is a really systematic disease, thus it can affect different organs together with your eyes.

Have you got any of these diabetes symptoms? If you do, do not hesitate to consult a physician. Make sure you don’t have any of these diabetes symptoms and have yourself examined before it could be too late.
