Is the vigorous and aggressive cancer screening the reason the US leads the world in cancer care?
cancer screening
I have a question why does Obama want to reduce the cancer testing and Cancer Screening?
The RECOMMENDATION can from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

I even gave you a link so you can look it up yourself. Please note the the panel that made the RECOMMENDATION dose NOT include an oncologist nor an Obama.
Summary of Recommendations for Cancer Screening
Cancer Screening Recommendation # 1: The USPSTF recommends biennial screening mammography for women aged 50 to 74 years.
Grade: B recommendation.
Cancer Screening Recommendation #2: The decision to start regular, biennial screening mammography before the age of 50 years should be an individual one and take patient context into account, including the patient’s values regarding specific benefits and harms.
Grade: C recommendation.
Cancer Screening Recommendation #3: The USPSTF concludes that the current evidence is insufficient to assess the additional benefits and harms of screening mammography in women 75 years or older.
Grade: I Statement.
Cancer Screening Recommendation #4: The USPSTF recommends against teaching breast self-examination (BSE).
Grade: D recommendation.
Cancer Screening Recommendation #5: The USPSTF concludes that the current evidence is insufficient to assess the additional benefits and harms of clinical breast examination (CBE) beyond screening mammography in women 40 years or older.
Grade: I Statement.
Cancer Screening Recommendation #6 The USPSTF concludes that the current evidence is insufficient to assess the additional benefits and harms of either digital mammography or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) instead of film mammography as screening modalities for breast cancer.
Grade: I Statement.
You should make sure and get a cancer screening according to the established guidelines at a minimum. Family history is something that should be taken into account. Get a cancer screening whenever your are recommended to do so. Do not let anything cause you to skip a scheduled cancer screening. A cancer screening should be part of you normal routine for heath improvement.

Where did you get the idea that President Obama wants to reduce the testing?
He was not on the panel who decided that screening recommendations should be changed.
That was a cost / effectiveness evaluation by a panel that did not include one medical oncologist.
Those recent revised recommendations will not be adopted.
Thinking is rare amongst humans.
I try to cultivate it in my college classes.
But thinking requires work.
Many are not inclined to do that work – the work of thinking for themselves.
