pomegranate juice to be come pregnant???

I posted a question asking if anyone had any luck using over the counter herbal suppliments to become pregnant and got one answer saying that this person had no luck with the suppliments but that pomegranate juice worked for her. so being me I went to the store and bought organic pure pomegranate juice 32 oz. and drank the whole bottle in one night. I have always thought that to much is better than none at all. any way I’m sure this is not the way you are supposed to do it but I’m supposed to ovulate between yesterday and the 12th my cervix says it’s time to start trying and I’m wondering how much juice should I be drinking and how often and also how is it supposed to help? what does it do?
so far it seems that people think this person was wrong about the juice any other suggestions? I’d prefer to stay away from fertility treatments for right now other wise I’d just ask my dr. to prescribe something for me.

That juice will not help you become pregnant.

It may help in having a healthy child though:
Drinking pomegranate juice during pregnancy may help reduce the risk of brain injuries in babies. Decreased blood flow and oxygen to an infant’s developing brain during pregnancy, birth and early development is linked to premature birth and can lead to brain tissue loss, seizures and mobility impairments such as cerebral palsy. The phenomenon, called hypoxia ischemia, causes brain injury in approximately two of every 1,000 full-term human births and in a very high percentage of babies born before 34 weeks of gestation. Researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis found that newborn mice whose mothers drank water mixed with pomegranate juice concentrate lost 60 percent less brain tissue than mice whose mothers drank sugar water or other fluids. Pomegranate juice contains very high concentrations of polyphenols, a substance also found in berries and grapes, which has been shown to potentially have anti-aging and neuroprotective effects.

Why is it that Diabetes affects the way a Diabetic person dreams?

I’ve noticed since I’ve been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes that I’ve been dreaming more, and dreaming more vividly. Recently I read an article about dreams stating that people with Diabetes have more vivid dreams. Why is this?

Diabetes does not guarantee that dreams will be more vivid.

In the article, it mentioned that vivid dreams and nightmares can be a function of the body’s response to low blood sugar in order to raise blood sugar by causing the liver to release stored glucose and/or wake the person from sleeping.

Vivid dreams and nightmares are also a function of stress and worry, due to hormones that get released as part of the fight-or-flight mechanism (and those hormones also raise blood sugar). This is why stressed and/or worried people do not feel rested after sleeping.

Auditory hallucinations (hearing things that are not there, which can include music) are not due to blood sugar issues, but can result from altered levels of neurotransmitters (which are hormones). These episodes are not limited to schizophrenia or manic states of bipolar disorder, but can occur in people under stress or using certain medications.

"Ear Worms" (where you get a song "stuck" in your head) is different from a hallucination, and is a function of memory, if I recall correctly (it can be very irritating, but not generally a medical/psychological issue).

Eye Floater Vitreous Floater Gone After One Treatment

Eye Floater

Eye Floater

We are now: www.VitreousFloaterSolutions.com . John tells his story while you watch the actual laser treatment through the laser-mounted camera. Anxiety and depression are common with an eye floater (vitreous floaters) yet few doctors acknowlege the significant impact an eye floater can have in your life. Do you really want to “learn to live with them” for the next 20, 30, or 40 years? Dr. Johnson of the Orange Coast Laser Vision Center is one of just a few doctors worldwide with any signidficant experience in treating eye floaters NON-invasively (without surgery). He is the only one EXCLUSIVELY treating these floaters in his medical practice. Other eye care professionals say “do nothing”. Listen to John describe his frustration with floaters, his attempts with alternative medicine, and finally clearing essentially al of his floater with one painless laser session. The OC Laser Vision Center is a national and international practice dedicated to providing relief from eye floaters. ** Sorry no matter how many uploads, I could not get the soundtrack to synchronize **

What is an Eye Floater?
An Eye floater can be described as little specks of debris floating through the vitreous fluid in the eyeball. Sometimes people may momentarily confuse them with dust or tiny insects floating across in front of the eye. However, they are within the eyeball and are not eliminated by rubbing the front of the eye. They follow the rapid movements of the eye while drifting slowly from one place to another. If an eye floater didn’t move, they would be invisible due to a process called neural adaptation.
Are Eye Floaters serious?
Under normal circumstances, eye floaters are absolutely nothing to worry about. Everyone experiences them from time to time and they cause no ill effects.
When should I start to get worried?
Specks in front of the eyes are normally clearly visible when looking into a light background. However, if they start becoming visible in every background, suddenly increase in number and are accompanied by any loss of vision, it is vital that immediate medical advice is sought. This could be an early sign of retinal detachment.

If the retina has become detached or has a hole in it, you will begin to experience flashing lights before your eyes and you will also be aware of numerous floaters. These two symptoms will be accompanied by a loss of vision, so urgent medical advice is necessary. Surgery is required to seal any holes in the retina, or to re-attach the retina to the back of the eyeball.

You can have relief from Eye Floater problems.

November 24, 2010 – In consultation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc., is recalling, from the wholesale and retail level, three TYLENOL® Cold Multi-Symptom liquid products in order to update the labeling for these products. The specific products involved, listed below, are sold in the United States.

FDA Drug Recall of Tylenol Cold Liquid Products

This is a wholesale and retail level drug recall and is not being undertaken on the basis of adverse events. No action is required by consumers or healthcare providers and consumers can continue to use the product.

McNeil Consumer Healthcare initiated this drug recall after an internal review revealed that information about the presence of alcohol from flavoring agents was noted as an inactive ingredient listed on the package, but not on the front panel of the product. Certain flavoring agents contribute small (< 1%) amounts of alcohol.

Consumers with questions should call our Consumer Care Center at 1-888-222-6036 (available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET and Saturday – Sunday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Eastern Time.)

The NDC codes for the recalled products can be found on the product front panel.
